Abstract

Abstract In an arrangement having a central computer 2, a card reader 3 connected to the latter, an indicator device 5 and gaming machines 1 which can be operated by means of a card carrying characteristic data and which likewize have reading devices for the cards carrying the characteristic data, the gaming machines are connected to the central computer which, using the on-line method, calculates and stores wins and losses or stores the results of such a calculation. In order to make it easier for the user to operate such gaming machines and to take into account all the possible types of payment, an input device 4 which is connected to the central computer 2 via the card reader 3 and which can be operated by a person within the framework of a cashier's counter is provided. <IMAGE>
