Pallet for use in cheese prodn. - has wooden platform fixed to injection moulded plastics supports with columns joined by sole plates
Abstract
Abstract The load-handling pallet comprises a wooden platform fixed to two or more plastic supports. Each of the latter (2) is a one-piece injection moulding, comprising two or more columns joined by a sole plate (29). The top of each column has a recess accommodating and locating a wooden plank to which the platform is fixed. The recess can be formed by extending two or more outer walls of the column beyond the others, and also beyond a set of ribs inside the column. The pallet is particularly for use in the production of cheeses and their transport by rail, and has a considerably longer life than one made entirely of wood.
