Installation using a loop-type reactor and process by which a liquid educt is subjected to a chemical reaction in a circulatory manner
Abstract
Abstract The installation comprises a loop-type reactor provided with a circulation (1) for batchwise operation. At a batch change, the liquid educt required for the next batch is fed to the circulation (1) via an inlet line (43) in which, as viewed in the educt flow direction, a first heat exchanger (49), a degassing vessel (51), a second heat exchanger (55) and an intermediate tank (57) are inserted in this order. The product formed in the circulation (1) is discharged via an outlet line (71), in which an intermediate tank (75), the second heat exchanger (55) and the first heat exchanger (49) are inserted in this order. At a batch change, the educt and the product are temporarily stored in the intermediate tanks (57,75) and substantially simultaneously pass through the heat exchangers (49,55), the product releasing heat to the educt in the heat exchangers (49,55) and heating the educt to a temperature favourable for initiation of the reaction. This permits both the time requirement for the batch change and the energy consumption to be kept low. <IMAGE>
