Abstract

Abstract A drilling bit having two helical withdrawal grooves which extend from the drilling head in the direction toward the insertion or chucking end. The withdrawal grooves have least slope in the vicinity of the drilling head. In the other regions, the withdrawal grooves have a different slope. As a result, no cross-sectional jumps disposed at uniform intervals are provided on the drilling bit, so that transverse oscillations cannot be reinforced by partially constantly or continuously reflected pulses. A considerable reduction in noise is achieved. Furthermore, the central portion of the drilling bit, which is critical during drilling, receives great rigidity.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 94 words
Boring tool for use in driving machines boring in the axial direction for boring in stone, concrete and the like, with a boring head (1), with an adjoining shank part (3), with an insertion or chucking part (6) for connection to a driving device and with at least one helical discharge groove, which extends from the boring head, characterised in that in the region of the boring head (1), the discharge groove (4, 5) has its smallest pitch (pitch angle ß, β1), which increases in the direction of the insertion or chucking part (6).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 94 words
Boring tool for use in driving machines boring in the axial direction for boring in stone, concrete and the like, with a boring head (1), with an adjoining shank part (3), with an insertion or chucking part (6) for connection to a driving device and with at least one helical discharge groove, which extends from the boring head, characterised in that in the region of the boring head (1), the discharge groove (4, 5) has its smallest pitch (pitch angle ß, β1), which increases in the direction of the insertion or chucking part (6).
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 23 words
Boring tool according to Claim 1, characterised in that the pitch of the discharge groove (4, 5) increases from the boring head (1).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 25 words
Boring tool according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the pitch of the discharge groove (4, 5) increases towards the chucking end (6).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
Boring tool according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the pitch of the discharge groove (4', 5') increases continuously.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 41 words
Boring tool according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the pitch of the discharge grooves (4', 5'; 4a; 5a; 4b, 5b;) increases in sections from the drilling head (1) in the direction of the chucking end (6).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 37 words
Boring tool according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the pitch of the discharge groove (4", 5") first of all increases from the boring head (1") and then remains constant towards the chucking end (6).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 28 words
Boring tool according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the axial width (13) of the discharge groove (4, 5) increases as the pitch increases.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 27 words
Boring tool according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the discharge groove (4, 5) has a different cross sectional shape over its length.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 30 words
Boring tool according to Claim 8, characterised in that in the region of the boring head (1), the discharge groove (4, 5) has an at least approximately rectangular cross section.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 42 words
Boring tool according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the radial depth (20, 20', 20") of the discharge groove (4, 5) decreases from the boring head (1) in the direction of the chucking end (6), preferably decreases continuously.
