Process for cell fusion
Abstract
Abstract The process entails cells which are present in a suspension in a fusion chamber being fused by application of an electrical field. The electric field is generated by an electric pulse generator designed as emitter, with wireless transfer of the electrical energy to the fusion chamber. Provided for reception of the electrical energy in the fusion chamber are electrodes which limit the latter and which are composed of a substance which has a higher conductivity than the cell suspension in the fusion chamber, but at least 10<-><3> S/cm. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the process. This device is provided with a chamber to receive the cell suspension and with at least two electrodes arranged so that a region lying between the electrodes is formed. The cells are exposed to the electric field formed between the electrodes in this region. The device for generating the electric field is designed as emitter according to the invention.
