Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 58 words
A pharmaceutical preparation comprising ion exchange resin particles having a pharmacologically active drug adsorbed thereon to form drug-resin complex particles, which resin particles have been treated with from about 15 to about 25 percent by weight of glycerin, based on the combined weight of the glycerin and the complex particles, and subsequently coated with a water-permeable diffusion barrier.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 58 words
A pharmaceutical preparation comprising ion exchange resin particles having a pharmacologically active drug adsorbed thereon to form drug-resin complex particles, which resin particles have been treated with from about 15 to about 25 percent by weight of glycerin, based on the combined weight of the glycerin and the complex particles, and subsequently coated with a water-permeable diffusion barrier.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 26 words
A pharmaceutical preparation as in Claim 1 wherein the resin particles have been treated with from about 17.5 to about 25 percent by weight of glycerin.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 12 words
A pharmaceutical preparation as in Claim 2 wherein the drug is phenylpropanolamine.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
A pharmaceutical preparation as in Claim 2 wherein the coating is comprised of ethyl cellulose. . Claims for the Contracting State AT
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 72 words
A process for preparing a pharmaceutical preparation in which a pharmaceutically active drug is adsorbed on particles of an ion exchange resin to form drug-resin complex particles, and the complex particles are provided with a water-permeable diffusion barrier coating, characterized by treating the resin particles, prior to coating, with from about 15 to about 25 percent by weight of glycerin, based on the combined weight of the clycerin and the complex particles.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 72 words
A process for preparing a pharmaceutical preparation in which a pharmaceutically active drug is adsorbed on particles of an ion exchange resin to form drug-resin complex particles, and the complex particles are provided with a water-permeable diffusion barrier coating, characterized by treating the resin particles, prior to coating, with from about 15 to about 25 percent by weight of glycerin, based on the combined weight of the clycerin and the complex particles.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 24 words
The process of claim 1 wherein the resin particles have been treated with from about 17.5 to about 25 percent by weight of glycerin.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 11 words
The process as in claim 2 wherein the drug is phenylpropanolamine.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 14 words
The process as in claim 2 wherein the coating is comprised of ethyl cellulose.
