Abstract

A connector (2) for peritoneal dialysis has a female connector piece (4) and a male connector piece (6). The male connector piece has a central tube piece (22), the diameter of which tapers at a step (26). Furthermore, the female connector piece (4) has a valve device (53) which consists of an annular seal (54) and a valve plate (58) which is pressed against the sealing ring (54) by means of a compression spring (60). When connecting the female connector piece (4) to the male connector piece (6), at least one bolt (46) on the male connector piece engages in a guide groove (48) which is formed in a sleeve (10) in which the female connector piece ( 4) is provided. The guide groove (48) has a step-like or step-shaped construction, so that the female connector piece (4) can assume three defined connection states relative to the male connector piece (6), these three connection states causing the pipe piece (22) to interact with the valve device (52) enables or blocks fluid passages between a first connection (18), a second connection (32) and a third connection (36). The third connection (36) serves to connect an empty bag for the used dialysis fluid and is arranged together with the first connection (18) for the supply of fresh dialysis fluid to the male connector piece (6).
