Photographic camera

Claim 2

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range smaller than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; means for measuring light from a predetermined range corresponding to an angle smaller than an angle of view of the photographic lens, the angle of view corresponding to a photographing range in an object field when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected; and means for controlling exposure of the photographic camera in accordance with the measured result.

Claim 3

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range smaller than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; means for outputting a pseudo focal length signal when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected; means for exposing a film to be photographed on the basis of a predetermined program determining a combination of aperture value and shutter speed according to the brightness of an object to be photographed; means for determining a limit exposure value in accordance with an exposure time corresponding to the pseudo focal length and to characteristic of the exposing means; means for measuring light coming from the object to be photographed for calculating an exposure value; means for comparing the calculated exposure value with the determined limit exposure value to produce a flash signal when the calculated exposure value is smaller than the determined limit exposure value; means for illuminating the object with flash light emission; means for controlling the flash means to permit the flash light emission of the flash means in accordance with the flash signal; means for controlling the exposing means in accordance with the calculated exposure value when the calculated exposure value is larger than the determined limit exposure value and in accordance with the determined limit exposure value when the calculated exposure value is smaller than the determined limit exposure value; and means for recording a signal corresponding to the pseudo focal length photographing mode when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected.

Claim 4

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range smaller than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; means for outputting a pseudo focal length signal when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected; means for exposing a film to be photographed on the basis of a predetermined program determining a combination of aperture value and shutter speed according to the brightness of an object to be photographed; means for determining a limit exposure value in accordance with an exposure time corresponding to the pseudo focal length and to characteristic of the exposing means; means for measuring light coming from the object to be photographed for calculating an exposure value; means for comparing the calculated exposure value with the determined limit exposure value to produce a flash signal when the calculated exposure value is smaller than the determined limit exposure value; means for illuminating the object with flash light emission; means for controlling the flash means to permit the flash light emission of the flash means in accordance with the flash signal; means for controlling the exposing means in accordance with the calculated exposure value when the calculated exposure value is larger than the determined limit exposure value and in accordance with the determined limit exposure value when the calculated exposure value is smaller than the determined limit exposure value; and means for recording a signal corresponding to the pseudo focal length photographing mode when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected.

Claim 5

A photographic camera as claimed in Claim 2, further comprising means for discriminating whether the shutter speed calculated in accordance with the measured light is longer than a limited shutter speed corresponding to the determined limit exposure value to produce a low speed limit signal when the calculated shutter speed is longer than the limited shutter speed, and wherein the flash controlling means permits the flash light emission in accordance with the low speed limit signal.

Claim 6

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising; means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range smaller than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; means for specifying a magnification corresponding to a range to be printed on the photograping paper in printing when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected; means for recording a magnification signal corresponding to the specified magnification on the film; means for producing a film sensitivity signal indicative of a sensitivity of the film loaded in the camera; means for discriminating whether the film sensitivity is above a predetermined film sensitivity in accordance with the film sensitivity signal; and means for limiting the magnification capable of being specified by the magnification specifying means below a predetermined value when the film sensitivity is below the predetermined film sensitivity.

Claim 7

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising; means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range smaller than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; means for specifying a magnification corresponding to a range to be printed on the photograping paper in printing when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected; means for recording a magnification signal corresponding to the specified magnification on the film; means for producing a film sensitivity signal indicative of a sensitivity of the film loaded in the camera; means for discriminating whether the film sensitivity is above a predetermined film sensitivity in accordance with the film sensitivity signal; and means for limiting the magnification capable of being specified by the magnification specifying means below a predetermined value when the film sensitivity is below the predetermined film sensitivity.

Claim 8

A photographic camera, comprising: means for selecting one of a plurality of pseudo focal length photographing modes in which a range smaller than a normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper, the plurality of pseudo focal length photographing modes being different in pseudo focal length from each other; means for recording a signal corresponding to the set pseudo focal length mode; means for producing a film sensitivity signal indicative of a sensitivity of the film loaded in the camera; and means for limiting the selectable pseudo focal length photographing modes not to be over a predetermined pseudo focal length when the film sensitivity is above a predetermined value.

Claim 9

A photographic camera, comprising: means for selecting one of a plurality of pseudo focal length photographing modes in which a range smaller than a normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper, the plurality of pseudo focal length photographing modes being different in pseudo focal length from each other; means for recording a signal corresponding to the set pseudo focal length mode; means for producing a film sensitivity signal indicative of a sensitivity of the film loaded in the camera; and means for limiting the selectable pseudo focal length photographing modes not to be over a predetermined pseudo focal length when the film sensitivity is above a predetermined value.

Claim 10

A photographic camera, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range narrower than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; first means for displaying marks corresponding to the selected mode on the outer surface of the camera; and second means for displaying, in a finder field of the camera, a photographing range which will be printed on the photographing paper.

Claim 11

A photographic camera, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range narrower than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; first means for displaying marks corresponding to the selected mode on the outer surface of the camera; and second means for displaying, in a finder field of the camera, a photographing range which will be printed on the photographing paper.

Claim 12

A photographic camera as claimed in Claim 6, further comprising means for setting one of a plurality of pseudo focal length photographing modes in which a range smaller than a normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper, the plurality of pseudo focal length photographing modes being different in pseudo focal length from each other, and wherein the first and second display means display the set magnification.

Claim 13

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range narrower than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; means for setting a close-up mode to effect a close-up photography; means for setting an object distance of the photographic lens to a predetermined distance when the close-up mode is set; and means for recording a signal indicating that the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected when the close-up mode is set.

Claim 14

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range narrower than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper; means for setting a close-up mode to effect a close-up photography; means for setting an object distance of the photographic lens to a predetermined distance when the close-up mode is set; and means for recording a signal indicating that the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected when the close-up mode is set.

Claim 15

A photographic camera as claimed in Claim 8, further comprising means for setting maximum aperture value of the camera over which aperture value cannot be set, and means for limiting the maximum aperture value to a smaller value than that in the real focal length photographing mode when the pseudo focal length photographing mode is selected.

l0. A photographic camera as claimed in Claim 8, further comprising means for illuminating an object to be photographed with flash light emission, and means for permitting the flash light emission of the illuminating means when the close-up mode is set.

Claim 17

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising: means for producing a code signal corresponding to data to be printed on the photographing paper; and means for printing a code corresponding to the code signal between the successive two frames of a film loaded in the camera.

Claim 18

A photographic camera having a photographic lens, comprising: means for producing a code signal corresponding to data to be printed on the photographing paper; and means for printing a code corresponding to the code signal between the successive two frames of a film loaded in the camera.

Claim 19

A photographic camera as claimed in Claim 8, wherein the printing means is disposed on a position closer to a frame of the camera provided for limiting a range to be photographed on the film, whereby the code is printed on a position closer to the corresponding frame between two frames successive along a film winding direction.

Claim 20

A photographic camera, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range narrower than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper, the selecting means being capable of selecting one of plurality of pseudo focal lengths in the pseudo focal length photographing mode, each pseudo focal length being different from each other; means for producing a code signal corresponding to the selected pseudo focal length; and means for printing the code signal onto a film at a position between two successive frames.

Claim 21

A photographic camera, comprising: means for selecting a real focal length photographing mode in which a normal range in a frame of a film will be printed on a photographing paper and a pseudo focal length photographing mode in which a range narrower than the normal range in a frame of the film will be printed on a photographing paper, the selecting means being capable of selecting one of plurality of pseudo focal lengths in the pseudo focal length photographing mode, each pseudo focal length being different from each other; means for producing a code signal corresponding to the selected pseudo focal length; and means for printing the code signal onto a film at a position between two successive frames.

Claim 22

A photographic camera as claimed in Claim l3, wherein the printing means is disposed on a position closer to a frame of the camera provided for limiting a range to be photographed on the film, whereby the code signal is printed on a position closer to the corresponding frame between two frames successive along a film winding direction.
