Beschrieben wird ferner ein Additiv, das für die Durchführung des erfindungsgemässen Verfahrens geeignet ist und ein oder mehrere Alkali- und/oder Ammoniumsalze höherer Fettsäuren, einen oder mehrere höhere Alkohole und im übrigen Wasser enthält. Das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren hat den Vorteil, dass es nicht nur den Einsatz von der Umwelt belastenden organischen Lösungsmitteln vermeidet, sondern zu ausgezeichneten Trennmitteln führt, aus denen das Wasser weitestgehend innerhalb kürzester Zeit, und zwar innerhalb der sehr kurzen Taktzeiten moderner Schaumanlagen abdunstet.
