Abstract

A switching device for automatically switching on a hazard warning system in the event of a collision and emergency braking is presented, which has an inertia switch with a high response threshold and an acceleration sensor connected in parallel with a low response threshold, the output signals of which are used to switch on the hazard warning system. The output of the acceleration sensor is connected to an evaluation circuit with integrator and threshold switch, which prevents pulse-shaped output signals from the acceleration sensor from already causing the hazard warning lights to be switched on.
