Abstract
Abstract An improved area fill subsystem for a computer graphics display system. An extra bit plane is provided for storing marked pixels which are used in the area fill operation. Novel circuitry permits the generation of the marked pixels for vectors as in the order they are read out from the system memory. This lends itself to more efficient pipeline processing. In addition, special scan area register logic is provided which limits the portion of the screen scanned in area fill to only that portion of the screen containing the current polygon being processed.
