Device to determine the intravasal blood volume during hemodialysis
Abstract
The invention of the change relates to a device for determining the intravascular blood volume during hemodialysis, in which the integral ion transfer of blood into the dialysis fluid is determined by a conductivity relative measuring arrangement. The plasma conductivity and the change in the plasma and blood conductivity are determined from the values obtained from the conductivity relative measurement arrangement and from the conductivity of the fresh dialysis fluid as well as the blood flow and the performance parameters of the dialyzer (3). The hematocrit is then calculated during dialysis and the hematocrit is used to determine the change in the intravascular blood volume and the ultrafiltration rate is determined depending on the change in the intravascular blood volume. A first conductivity measuring device (15) is arranged in the blood path (13) in the hemodialysis device upstream of the dialyzer (3) and connected to an evaluation unit (18), the evaluation unit (18) determining the change in the intravascular blood volume according to the method and a control unit (20) controls the pumps (12, 14) and the dialysis liquid mixing device (7) accordingly from the determined values.
