Abstract
Abstract The talking device has an ordinary handset (1) as well as an input / output panel (10) which is constituted by placing a flat plate-like liquid crystal display unit (200) on a two-dimensional semiconductor optical position detector (100). In response to operation for designating a position upon the input/output panel (10) through a light pen (20), the device attains such functions as registering the names and telephone numbers of other persons, dialing or automatic dialing, image data communication accompanying the voice data, timepiece setting, and similar functions.

A conversation apparatus having a handset for performing a conversation with a correspondent, for transferring a voice signal subjected to a voice-electric conversion at the handset to the correspondent and having the handset perform an electro-voice conversion a voice signal transferred from the correspondent, characterized in that it comprises: a light pen for emitting a spot light; tablet-type input means for inputting a predetermined information according to an irradiation of the spot light emitted from said light pen upon a plate-like light. receiving surface; first signal processing means for converting the information input to said input means into a predetermined electric signal corresponding to the information; and second signal processing means for mixing the signal converted by said processing means and said voice signal in a manner so that these two signals can be identified, and transferring the mixed signal to the correspondent.
