Method and device for wrapping a stack of goods in a plastic web

Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to a method for wrapping a stack of goods, in particular a palletised one, in a plastic web which is stretched at least in the longitudinal direction, the web being stretched immediately before wrapping and the stack of goods, together with the pallet, being wrapped spirally with the web so that the adjacent wrapping layers partially overlap one another. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method. In order to achieve a tensioning not only horizontally, but also vertically by wrapping a stack of goods, in particular a palletised one, with a plastic web, the web should also be stretched in the transverse direction immediately before wrapping. <IMAGE>
