Aqueous silicone emulsions ranging from fine particle emulsions up to optically clear silicone emulsions.
Abstract
Emulsions with aqueous silicones, with fine particles until optically clear, mechanically and thermally stable contain, with respect to the totality of the emulsions, 3 to 25% by weight of a water-soluble emulsifier (a), 0.1 to 84% by weight of an aminoalkyl substituted polysiloxane (b) (amine number at least 0.1), which can be present at least partially in saline form and which can be replaced up to 70% by weight with others polysiloxanes (emulsifier / silicone ratio at least 1.2 to 10), up to 3% by weight of a weak acid (c) with low molecular weight and at least 5% by weight of water (d), the sum of (a), (b) (c) and (d) being equal to 100% by weight. Also described are a process for manufacturing these emulsions and their use. The silicone emulsions described are distinguished by remarkable thermal stability.
