Abstract

Abstract An electronic information equipment is constructed to accommodate a keyboard (4) sandwiched between a main body (1) and a display (2). The keyboard (4) is provided separably from the main body (1). The display (2) is attached to the main body (1) by a supporting device (3) at a position where the display face (2a) is movable to a predetermined position. The supporting device (3) comprises rotating device portions (9, 10) and tilting device portions (15, 16, 17). The rotating device portions (9, 10) rotate the display (2) in the horizontal direction (H) about an axis intersecting the installation plane. The tilting device portions (15, 16, 17) rotate the display (2) at a vertical direction (V) with respect to the main body (1) for supporting the display face (2a) at a position intersecting the installation face at an arbitrary angle. The necessity to place the main body (1) in front of the operator is eliminated resulting in a wide and effective usage of the desk employed as an installation plane.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 114 words
An electronic information equipment constructed to accommodate entry means sandwiched between a main body and display means comprising: a main body (1) having an installation plane in contact with a predetermined location for placing the equipment, entry means (4) provided separably from said main body for entering information, display means (2) attached to said main body with the display face movable to a predetermined position regarding said installation plane for displaying information, rotating means (9, 10) for rotating said display means about one axis intersecting said installation plane, and tilting means (15, 16, 17) for supporting said display means at a position where said display face intersects said installation plane at an arbitrary angle.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 114 words
An electronic information equipment constructed to accommodate entry means sandwiched between a main body and display means comprising: a main body (1) having an installation plane in contact with a predetermined location for placing the equipment, entry means (4) provided separably from said main body for entering information, display means (2) attached to said main body with the display face movable to a predetermined position regarding said installation plane for displaying information, rotating means (9, 10) for rotating said display means about one axis intersecting said installation plane, and tilting means (15, 16, 17) for supporting said display means at a position where said display face intersects said installation plane at an arbitrary angle.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 39 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 1, wherein said rotating means comprises a rotating body (10) for rotating about said one axis, and an accommodating member (9) attached to said main body for rotatably receiving said rotating body.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 47 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 2, wherein said tilting means comprises a shaft portion (15) located along another axis intersecting said one axis at approximately right angles, and a supporting member (16) rotatably attached about the shaft portion and fixedly attached to said display means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 3, further comprising a coupling member (14) for coupling said rotating body and said shaft portion.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 24 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 3, wherein said supporting member is attached to said shaft portion (15) through an energizing member (17).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 29 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 2, further comprising restricting means (25, 26) for bringing the rotation of said rotating body to a stop at a predetermined position.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 53 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 6, wherein said restricting means comprises a projection portion (26) formed in the inner side of said accommodating member receiving said rotating body, and a groove portion (25) formed on the periphery side of said rotating body to engage the projection portion at a predetermined position.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 77 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 1, wherein said entry means has a main surface provided with a number of key tops, comprising a movable member (107) protruding outwards of the main surface and retracting inwardly, and moving means (106, 108) for moving the movable member, said main body comprising an engaging member (109) provided at a corresponding position to engage the outwardly protruding movable member when said entry means is placed over said main body.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 25 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 8, wherein said moving means comprises means (108) for moving said movable member (107) by a link mechanism.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 24 words
An electronic information equipment according to claim 8, wherein said moving means comprises means (110a; 113) for rotatably moving said movable member (110; 114).
