Abstract
Abstract A title paper (TP) on which title information is written is prepared and set on the top of a document to be recorded. The title information is read together with the document by a scanner (27) and recognized by character recognition, thereby automatically generating a title. Therefore, a keyboard operation for generating a title information can be eliminated and thus a recording operation and a title preparing operation can be separated and an operator's labor can be saved.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
47 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus comprising: means (27) for reading record information; means (32) for recognizing predetermined record information of said record information as a title of said record information; and first recording means (17) for attaching said title to said record information and recording resultant record information.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
38 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said predetermined record information is positioned at the beginning of said record information, and said reading means (27) reads said record information from the head in order.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
36 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said predetermined record information includes items constructed in a predetermined format, and said reading means (27) read said items in the order of said format.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
21 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said reading means (27) is constituted by a scanner (27).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
41 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said recognizing means (32) recognizes dot images of said predetermined record information read by said reading means (27) as character recognition and converts said dot images into character coded information.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
32 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that said first recording means (17) records said record information and said character coded predetermined record information in association with each other.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
24 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that said first recording means (17) is constituted by an optical disk unit (17).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
55 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 3, characterized in that said record information read by said reading means (27) is successively recorded, further comprising first memory means (21) for storing said predetermined record information such that each of said items is assigned to one of two dimensional addresses in accordance with said predetermined format.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
40 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 6, characterized by further comprising second memory means (16) for recording said character coded predetermined record information supplied from said recognizing means (32) and transmitting said information to said first recording means (17).
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
31 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 9, characterized by further comprising second recording means (19) for recording the character coded predetermined record information supplied from said second memory means (16).
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
24 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 10, characterized in that said second recording means (19) is constituted by a magnetic disk unit (19).
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
40 words
An information recording/regenerating apparatus according to claim 8, characterized by further comprising coder/decoder means (31) for converting said record information supplied from said first memory means (21) into predetermined codes, and supplying said codes to said first recording means (17).
Claim 13
Dependent Claim
86 words
An information recording apparatus for recording information together with related retieval information in a recording medium (17, 18, 19) comprising: means (27) for reading successively a plurality of sheets each of which includes information to be recorded; means for selecting one of sheets from read sheets; means (32) for recognizing the information of selected sheet as said retrieval information; and means (15, 17, OD, 19, HD) for recording said retrieval information recognized and the information of the remaining sheets into said recording medium (17, 18, 19).
