Method for electronically controlling a door lock - involves selecting correct code stored within a memory
Abstract
Abstract Electronically controlled lock e.g. use doors, designed to obviate key wear on electronic locks of prior art whereby contacts eventually imprint the key and security is lost etc, the method utilizes a secretly coded memory equipped electronic circuit to move a bolt w.r.t. its notch. unlocking entails three stages: initially an entry signal effects a flowing numeric display, a response is made when the correct combination is on view, and finally one of the two lock components is moved when the correct code combination has been selected. The numeric display is presented on a screen and separate actuators are employed for the first two stages whereby repeated usage does not reduce security. The actuators are typically buttons or actuation is by turning a lever in two opposite directions.
