Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To suppress useless call and to improve the distribution efficiency by providing a means managing number of idle lines to a store and forward exchange and checking the presence of an idle line in the presence of the idle channel in communication channels and giving a call to a designated distribution destination without data distribution in the presence of the idle line only. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile equipment makes a call to a store and forward exchange 100 to designate multiple address transmission and stores picture information of a distribution original into a memory device of the store and forward exchange 100. When a CPU section 110 receives picture information whose distribution is commanded by multiple address, the section 110 registers a facsimile equipment being an object of multiple address transmission. Thus, a terminal equipment having a maximum terminal number is sought ad the presence of distribution control, the presence of an idle number in the belonging distribution group of the said terminal equipment and the presence of an idle channel in a communication controller 120 are checked from a control table. Then the call to the terminal equipment is commanded to the communication controller 120. Since the operation available line is grasped and the calling is managed in this way, useless calling and waiting are suppressed.
