Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to protect a terminal part and a card base itself at all time when the card is used/unused by sticking a single-side type protection case close to the lower face the card base at the time of using the IC card or the upper face at the time of no use. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 3a, 3b are formed on the sides 1a, 1b of the card base 1. Leaf springs 7a to 7d to be engaged with the grooves 3a, 3b are formed on the protection case 6. When the IC card is not used, the one side of the case 6 covers the whole upper surface of the base 1 to protect a terminal part 2. At the time of using the card, the one side of the case 6 covers the whole lower surface of the base 1 to expose the terminal part 2. Thus, the card base can be protected at all time when the card is used or not used and many unused IC cards can be superposed and carried.
