Plunger solenoid driving circuit
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a common power source for the solenoid driving and its driving circuit by inserting between the power source and the plunger solenoid a switching means which consists of a part of the driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: Applying a high voltage level driving signal to the terminal S 1 allows the transistor TrQ 1 to be conducted to charge the capacitor C 1 and TrQ 2 to be non-conductive. The signal application to the terminal S 1 also caused the TrQ 6 and TrQ 7 to be conductive. And the TrQ 2 non-conductance produces TrQ 4 conductance. As a result, the power source +B voltage drives the plunger solenoid PL 1 through TrQ 4 , Q 7 . As the capacitor is charged. TrQ 2 conducts and TrQ 4 non- conducts. Since the base of TrQ 5 receives the voltage controlled by the Zener diode ZD 1 , TrQ 7 conductance causes TrQ 5 conductance. Accordingly, the signal application to the terminal S 1 causes TrQ 4 , Q 5 conductance thereby applying a starting voltage to the solenoid PL 1 and after a given time, TrQ 4 becomes non-conductive to allow a holding voltage application.
