Magnifier sheet
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To make a thin plate sheet made of transparent plastic material usable directly as a magnifier and enable the same to be used as a book-mark for reading as well by engraving the special grooves in said sheet. CONSTITUTION: A sheet made of transparent sheet consists of a handle part 1 of smooth both surfaces and a lens part 2 engraved with ripple-form grooves on one surface. The grooves of the lens part are constituted by the numerous concentrical circles and concentrical arcs engraved in saw-tooth form in section at an equal spacing with the center of the lens part area as a center. The saw-tooth-form grooves 3 are made nearly perpendicular at the outer side face with the center of the circles as a reference and their inside side faces are suitably tapered. The lens part 2 constituted in this way acts as a magnifier like an ordinary convex lens. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
