Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a mat film having moderate luster and transparency and also a calm appearance by stretching a polyvinyl chloride sheet containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION: A sheet consisting of a mixture obtained through mixing 10W 35wt% of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) with 100wt% of polyvinyl chloride is stretched at temperatures ranging from the temperature at which polyvinyl chloride is softened to that at which an elasticity of EVA indicates a value higher than that of polyvinyl chloride. If the quantity of EVA to be mixed with PVC is less than 10wt.pts. a mat property of the stretched film becomes inferior and if it exceeds 35wt.pts, then the film is not stretched efficiently and its surface becomes whitened rapidly. A preferable result is not obtainable from the above two, accordingly. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
