Sealing for runner of fluid machine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To simplify replacement process of sealing for a runner of a fluid machine with demountable sealing liner without moving the main shaft by circumferentially dividing the sealing liner and base members at the foot of the same, at the sealing part of a runner of a hydraulic turbine, etc. CONSTITUTION: A sealing liner 13 is provided mating with the outlet of a runner 1, and base members 9, 10 are provided at the rear of this liner 3, both being fixed by a lower cover 4 and a draft tube liner 5. These base members 9, 10 and sealing liner 3 are circumferentially divided into 4 arc-shaped parts each. At this time, the method of dividing the base members and sealing liner is selected properly according to their respective dimenions. According to this construction, demount and replacement of a sealing liner 3 can be much simplified only with a work at the draft tube side with the main shaft and runner left as they were.
