Operation oil supplying device for liquid pressure type automatic speed change gear
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To enable an operation oil to be supplied and discharged satisfactorily in spite of a small diameter of an input shaft, which forms a gear transmission, by providing a torque converter on the input shaft, and supplying the operation oil through that wall of a engine casing which is on the opposite side of the torque converter, via the shaft. CONSTITUTION: A torque converter 7 is provided between a engine casing 3 in which a gear transmission 2 is housed and a transmision cover 6, and coaxially on an input shaft 4. In this converter 7, an operation oil is introduced from a hydraulic pump (not shown) into an oil supply port 22, which is opened at the left end of the input shaft 4, via an oil passage 21 formed in the engine casing 3. The oil is then sent under pressure to right in the oil supply port 22 to be discharged to the outside of the input shaft 4 through oil ports 23, 24 and to lubricate bearings 25, 31. The oil then flows into a housing 8 of the converter 7 via a port 33 of a stator shaft 9 and a ball bearing 11. The oil is thereafter sent under pressure into the interior of the torque converter 7 through a gap between a pump P and a stator S to actuate turbine T and rotate the input shaft 4.
