Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enable a simple constitution to secure photography in which main and sub selectronic flashes are used, by coupling the main automatic dimming electronic flash with sub electronic flash through electromagnetic-wave transmission and reception and by controlling them. CONSTITUTION: The main automatic dimming electronic flash and sub electronic flash are electromagnetically coupled multually by transmitter 13, transmitting antenna 14, the receiver, and receiving antenna. When trigger circuit 7 triggers thyristor 8 and flash bulb 5 of the main automatic dimming electronic flash interlocking with the shutter to flash, the output of monostable multivibrator 12 by the trigger output of circuit 7 is transmitted from transmitting antenna 14 and received by the receiving antenna of the sub electronic flash, so that the sub electronic flash will start flashing. Then, reflected lights of both the electronic flashes from an object are photodetected by photodetection part 11a of the main electronic flash and integrated and when the value reaches a prescribed value, the sub electronic flash stops the flahing operation according to the transmission and reception of a flashing stop signal while the flashing of flash bulb 5 is stopped.
