Mechanical filter

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To give a flat wave shape characteristics or that in Chebyshev's approximation for a group delay characteristics without using a coil, by connecting an active gyrator at least one of input and output terminals of a mechanical oscillator. CONSTITUTION:Active gyrators 10, 11 are respectuvely added to input and output terminals of a mechanical filter to which mechanical oscillators 1, 2, 3, are coupled with couplers 4, 5, for conjugate matching. The active gyrators 10, 11 consist of resistors and capacitors and they are very small in size because they can be realized with integrated circuits, allowing small sized mechanical filter as a whole.
