Transfer type color printer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To produce a multicolor print at a low cost with a compact printer by such a composition wherein an ordinary paper is laid over a sheet of transfer paper on which transfer agents of plural colors are repeatedly coated in stripe and transfer printing is carried out and every time one impression is finished, the transfer paper is moved laterally by the width of the color stripe. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of recording paper 3 is laid over a sheet of transfer paper 19 on which transfer agents of plural colors such as black, cyanic color, magneta, yellow, etc. are repeatedly coated in stripe and the layer is supplied to a recording head 8 and a specified pattern is recorded on the recording paper 3 by heating or applying pressure. Every time one step of printing is finished, the recording paper 19 and the heat sensitive head 8 are integrally moved in the direction of arrow (z) by the width of color stripe l, in sequence and the ordinary paper 3 is moved in the direction of arrow x or y and by this method, color printing is carried out in black, cyanic color, magneta and yellow.
