Method and device for hot hydrostatic molding
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the cycle time of a hot hydrostatic press considerably and to improve the working efficiency thereof by providing an auxiliary station which performs preheating and cooling separately from a press device which treats objects to be treated with high temp. and high pressure. CONSTITUTION:A treating chamber 11 formed of a lower cover 8 and a heat insulating layer 10 is loaded into an auxiliary station 4 consisting of a dome type vessel 13, and objects 31 to be treated are preheated with a heater 9 in an inert gaseous atmosphere introduced through a conduit 27. Thereafter the objects 31 and the cover 8 are removed together with the chamber 11, and are loaded and disposed into the vertical type pressure resistant cylinder 7 of a hot hydrostatic press (HIP) device 5, where the objects are subjected to an HIP treatment of high temp. and high pressure. After the treatment, the chamber 11 is loaded into the station 4, where a cold inert gas is introduced through the conduit 27 and cooling water is distributed into a refrigerant jacket 12 to deprive the inside of the chamber 11 of heat, whereby the objects 31, the heater 9, etc. are cooled.
