Transfer type heat sensitive recorder

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent poor transfer by checking wrinkling due to moisture absorption of an ink donor sheet by a method wherein the ink donor sheet is piled on a recording paper and an ink layer left on the recorded ink donor sheet is removed after a thermal recording is performed. CONSTITUTION:As a driving motor 9 rotates receiving a forward rotation driving signal from a drive control circuit 8, an ink donor sheet 1 is sent in the direction of the arrow 10 with a drive roll 6. The sheet is piled on a recording paper 11 being fed from a paper feed rollers 12 and 13 while passing through a thermal head 5 to perform a thermal transfer recording. After the recording, as soon as the tail end of the paper 11 passes between a back roll 4 and a drive roll 6, a reverse rotation driving signal is provided by the circuit 8 to wind the sheet 1 back in the direction of the arrow 16. Then, as a portion contacting the tail end of the recording paper 11 reaches the thermal head 5, a total back signal is provided to the thermal head 5 to shift the ink left on the ink donor sheet 1 onto a back roll 4.Thus, the ink donor sheet 1 is prepared for the subsequent recording after the removal of the ink layer thereon between the feed roll 1 and the head 5.
