Collating device fitted with finisher
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify a collating device in structure as well as to aim at a space reduction to the smallest possible extent, by making up the device with those of a stapler head, a stapler head block and its horizontal, vertical shifting devices installed so as to be stapled with a paper collating device fitted with a sensor pin on a sorter. CONSTITUTION:Copying paper is fed to a space between sorter pins 2, collides with one of stoppers 3 and is collated right. Next, each of blocks 11 and 11' for setting a stapler head moves to the left by means of motors 10 and 10' and screws 9 and 9', and stapler head blocks 13 and 13' hold the copying paper inside notches 4 and 4' of these sorter pins 2. This paper hold is detected by a sensor 15 and block movements come to a stop. Then, these stapler head blocks 13 and 13' staple the paper and after that, motors 10 and 10' are reversely rotated, bringing these stapler head blocks 13 and 13' back in their original positions each, then each of sorter pivots 7 and 7' is made to go down while these blocks 13 and 13' are forced to go down as far as a portion or one sorter. With this constitution, not only the structure of a device can be simplified but also a space reduction can be achieved.
