Multi-color transfer type heat sensitive recording apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording apparatus capable of achieving the conservation of a thermal transfer recording medium such as an ink donor sheet corresponding to a color limited in an amount to be recorded, constituted by providing a cotacting and separating means for mutually contacting and separating a thermal head and a back roller. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of recording parts 1, 2 are arranged in series and have thermal heads 6, 15 and back rollers 7, 16 contacted with said heads under pressure while a thermal transfer recording medium is run between said heads 6, 15 and the rollers 7, 16 by driving drive rollers 8, 17. A means for mutually contacting and separating the thermal head 15 and the back roller 16 in the recording part 2 corresponding to a color other than a usually recorded color is provided and the drive roller 17 in the recording part corresponding to the color other than the usually recorded color is driven only in recording the corresponding color. The titled apparatus is obtained from constitution for controlling the thermal head 15 and the back roller 16 corresponding only at this time in such a manner that both of them approach to each other.
