Air cleaner gas mat mounting structure

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To securely install a gasket in a casing and improve operation efficiency by forming an under-cut form recessed groove on the gasket mounting area of a casing in advance and filling said recessed groove with a part of said gasket by molding. CONSTITUTION:A metal mold 7 is attached to the edge part of a recessed groove 6a, and a molten soft urethane material which is to be formed into a gasket 5a is poured into a space formed by the recessed groove 6a and the metal mold 7, through a through hole 8a provided on the bottom surface 8 of the recessed groove 6a. After the material for gasket 5a is filled into the recessed groove 6a and the metal mold 7 and molded, the metal mold 7 is removed and, thereby, the gasket 5a is fixed the recessed groove 6a, with a part of it being embedded in the groove.
