Heat fixing dry toner

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the entitled toner superior in low temp. fixability, offset resistance, and moisture resistance, and stable in chargeability characteristics, by adding a specified nonlinear, low m.p. aromatic polyester resin and an organometallic compd. contg. a divalent or higher valent metal. CONSTITUTION:A nonlinear low m.p. aromatic polyester resin having 10-60 acid value is obtained by reacting (A) <=40mol% trivalent or higher valent polycarboxylic acid and/or trivalent or higher valent polyol, (B) <=30mol% alkylated dicarboxylic acid and/or alkylated diol, (C) dicarboxylic acid having >=50mol% phthalic acid type, and (D) etherified diphenols. An organometallic compd. contg. 0.2-4wt% divalent or higher valent metal, such as zinc acetate, and when needed, other thermoplastic resin, colorant, magnetic powder, etc. are incorporated in this polyester resin.
