Multi-color original reader

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To apply correct correction even to a thin line part by discriminating a read signal of a noted picture element as a ghost when a level of a picture element lower than a threshold value exists in the vicinity of the said noted picture element so as to correct the signal. CONSTITUTION:A red read signal R and a black read signal B read respectively by the 1st image sensor 1 and the 2nd image sensor 2 are inputted to a color discrimination circuit 4 at first. The red read signal R is inputted to a ghost recognizing circuit 5 and whether or not the level is larger than a reference value is decided by a comparator 12. When the level is larger, logical ''1'' is outputted and when not larger, logical ''0'' is outputted. This output is latched by a latch system 13, an output of each latch circuit is inputted to an ROM14 and whether or not logical ''0'' exists is discriminated. When logical ''0'' exists, it is discriminated as ghost. When the signal is ghost, the output of the black read signal is outputted from the said color separation circuit 6.
