Electrophotographic sensitive body

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To form an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity to long wavelength light and superior in electrostatic chargeability characteristics by using metal-free phthalocyanine having an ash content not above a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by laminating on a conductive substrate a <=about 20mum thick charge generating layer contg. (A) a metal-free phthalocyanine compd. selected from tau, tau', eta, and eta' types and having <=1wt% ash content, as a charge generating substance, and a 5-100mum thick charge transfer layer contg. (B) a charge transfer substance, preferably, a positive hole transfer type substance having an ionization potential of <=about 6.6eV.
