non-aqueous electrolyte battery
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a titled battery which shows exellent low temperature discharge characteristics after the storing by utilizing a mixed solvent including propylenecarbonate or gamma-butyrolactone or dioxolane and 2-methyltetrahydrophlane. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode which uses a light metal such as lithium or sodium or alloy of them as the ative substance and the positive electrode which uses manganese dioxide as the active substance are provided, and a mixed solvent including propylenecarbonate or gamma-butylactone or dioxolane and 2-dimethyltetrahydrophlane is used as the solvent of non-aqueous electrolyte. For example, the electrolyte is obtained by dissolving lithium perchlorate of 1mol/litter into a mixed solvent mixing propylenecarbonate and 2-methyltetrahydrophlane with a mixing ratio of 1:1. The positive electrode is obtained by pressurizingly forming a mixture where the heat-processed manganese dioxide used as the active substance, carbon powder used as the conductive agent and fluorine resin powder as the binder are mixed in the weight ratio of 85:10:5 and heat-processed, while the negative electrode is obtained by punching lithium rolled plate into the predetermined size.
