Thermal printer
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to control in accordance with the temperature of a thermal head without providing any special device, by controlling a printing pulse for a thermal head on the basis of the number of pieces of data printed and the period of time being counted. CONSTITUTION:According to a printing command S supplied through a printing- controlling button 5, a CPU1 gives a printing pulse P suitable for the thermal head 11, thereby controlling a printing operation of a thermal printer. Namely, dot data outputted from a video signal receiving circuit 6 are sequentially stored into a printing data memory 7, and are outputted to a head-controlling circuit 10. The dot data are counted by a counter 8, and the counted value (count data) is supplied to a bus line B of the CPU1. When printing of one image is completed, a timer 4 counts the period of time until the subsequent printing in response to a time-counting command supplied from the CPU1, and the counted value (timer data) is supplied to the bus line B of the CPU1. Based on the count data and the timer data, the CPU1 determines a printing pulse (p) for repeated printing.
