Enzyme stabilizer and enzyme storage
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:In order to sustain the activity of an enzyme and prevent it from deterioration by adding a stabilizer, the enzyme is combined with sucrose and another compound selected from lactose, inositol, sorbose, aspargine, and the like. CONSTITUTION:At least two compounds of (A) sucrose and (B) at least one selected from the groups consisting of lactose, inositol, sorbose, asparagine, and threonine are combined with an enzyme such as alcohol oxidase and catalase and the composition is freeze-dried. A combination of sucrose with lactose or sucrose, lactose and inositol is preferred and the weight ratio of (A) to (B) is 1:(1-10), where it is preferably in the form of an aqueous solution of 1-10wt% of sucrose content.
