Automatic termination control system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To execute automatic termination connection only to a called device corresponding to the kind required to be connected to a calling device such as a communication processor by making a switchboard discriminate the kind of the called device in accordance with the kind of a tone signal answered from the called device. CONSTITUTION:An automatic termination connecting request to the called device 3 and device kind specifying information as a connecting condition are sent from the communication processor 5 to the switchboard 1 through a communication line 6. The switchboard 1 forms a transmission line 8 for connecting the called device 3 to a tone signal sending device 2 through a communication line 7 and sends a prescribed tone signal from the tone signal sending device 2 to the called device 3. The called device 3 sends a previously fixed tone signal corresponding to the kind of the called device 3 to the switchboard 1 as an answer. The tone signal is detected by a tone signal identifying device 4, which analyzes the kind of the detected tone signal to identifies the kind of the called device 3 and informs the identified result to the switchboard 1. The switchboard 1 compares the identified result informed from the device 4 with the device kind specifying information already informed from the communication processor 5 to decide whether the communication can be connected or not.
