Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent false measurement by stopping the driving of a buzzer when a measured temperature falls below a prescribed value in relation to a maximum temperature. CONSTITUTION:A temperature is converted into an electric signal by a temperature sensor 11, and then this signal is converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 12 and taken in CPU13. CPU13 takes in the temperature signal from the converter 12 at every sampling time, computes a maximum temperature from a measured temperature and displays it in a display unit 15. Meanwhile, CPU13 computes the rate of rise in the maximum temperature, and when this rate turns below a prescribed value, it makes a buzzer 17 sound to inform that a convergence temperature is reached. Moreover, when the measured temperature falls in relation to the maximum temperature, a difference value between them is computed, and when this value rises above a prescribed value, a function of detecting the rate of rise is stopped, whereby the driving of the buzzer 17 is stopped. Accordingly the buzzer does not sound even when the maximum temperature is held at a certain value owing to disengagement of the temperature sensor 11 from a measured part in the course of measurement, and therefore a measurer is prevented from conducting a false measurement in which an intermediate maximum temperature is read on the basis of his false determination of convergence from the sounding.
