Encapsulated toner
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a toner superior in fluidity and storage stability and high in fixability by attaching the polymer of a specified positively electrifiable monomer. CONSTITUTION:The microencapsulated toner to be used is obtained by enclosing each core material containing a colorant and a binder with each outer resin shell, and the core binder is an oily binder having a viscosity of 1,000-100,000cp at 25 deg.C composed of a solid polymer and an organic solvent capable of dissolving or swelling said solid polymer and having a boiling point of >=150 deg.C. Each of said outer resin shells is formed on the circumference of the core material by the polymerization method selected from the interlayer polymerization method, the internal polymerization method, and the external polymerization method, and the polymer is attached to the outside of each outer shell, and this polymer contains at least one of monomer units derived from one of monomers represented by formula I-V.
