Immobilized carrier
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:An immobilized carrier useful as a bioreactor, etc., having high immobilization ratio, suppressing elimination and inactivity, capable of being simply immobilized at a desired site, obtained by supporting one or more of enzyme, mold or yeast on the interior of specific polymer gel. CONSTITUTION:The polymer gel 1 of three-dimensional network obtained by crosslinking a polyamide, causing a phase transition at the deactivation temperature (0-80 deg.C) of enzyme, etc., resulting from shrinkage or swelling characteristics (phase transition characteristics) with heat, is put in the container 3 in which the solution (e.g., alcohol) 4 dissolving the organism catalyst 2 such as the enzyme (e.g., oxidoreductase), a mold (e.g., Penicillium), yeast (e.g., Candida) is put and the solution 4 and the organism catalyst 2 are absorbed in the polymer gel. The polymer gel is heated to <=80 deg.C, the gel 1 is shrunk, the organism catalyst 2 is caught in the network and a large amount of the organism catalyst is immobilized. Then, the immobilized gel 1 is taken out to give an immobilized carrier.
