Voice inputting device for electronic conference system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to make echo elimination sufficiently even when the level of noise in the room is high by removing background noise signals from voice signals of conference attendants by a room noise eliminating section, and removing reverberation from the voice signals from which room noise is removed by a reverberation eliminating section. CONSTITUTION:Four microphones 402-1-402-4 are arranged properly considering directivity to enable them to collect voice of all attendant of conference and picks up voice uttered by attendants. A room noise removing section 404 is a circuit that removes background noise that always exists in a conference room, and generates signals VB-1-VB-5 made by removing background noise from microphone voice VA-1-VA-4 by a noise canceler making background noise signals picked up by a microphone 402-5 directed to direction from attendants a reference signal. A reverberation removing section 405 has function to prevent occurrence of housing caused by reflection of voice came out from the speaker by walls and windows of the conference room and occurrence of deterioration of speech quality due to sense of reverberation, and generates signals VC-1-VC-4 of small reverberation by a two-channel echo canceler after inputting left and right speaker signals SR, SL.
