Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To quickly re-activate a troubled terminal equipment by temporarily saving dump data in the terminal equipment to the interior of a relay device if the terminal equipment develops fault and afterwards transmitting said data to a host computer. CONSTITUTION:If the terminal equipment 3 develops fault, in transmits the dump data to the relay device 4, and sends a reactivation request message upon the completion of the transmission. A relay processing part 41 in the device 4 delivers the dump data to a save processing part 42 and saves the data to an accumulation part 43. Receiving the re-activation request message, the processing part 41 transmits said message to the host computer 1 and starts re-activation processing. The computer 1 transmits a dump transfer request message in a time zone that a line 14 has a low traffic, and the processing part 41 delivering said message to a transfer processing part 44. With this receiving as a turning point, the processing part 44 takes the dump data out of the accumulation part 43, and delivers it to the processing part 41. It transmits the hand-in dump data to the host computer 1.
