Automobile antenna system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce number of antennas projected from the car body of an automobile by designing a band split coil and the 2nd antenna element such that they are able to be contained into the 1st antenna element. CONSTITUTION:The 1st antenna element 16 for a high frequency f1 mounted to a car body 2 of an automobile, the band split coil 22 provided to the upper end of the 1st antenna element 16, and the 2nd antenna element 17 fitted to the upper end of the band split coil 22 and in cooperation with at least a part of the 1st antenna element 16 of a lower frequency f2 than the frequency f1, are provided. Then the band split coil 22 and the 2nd antenna element 17 are so designed that they are able to be contained in the 1st antenna element 16. Thus, number of antennas fitted to the car body of the automobile is reduced.
