Developing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a developing device which is capable of stably and uniformly supplying a developer and forming a good image by providing a developer detecting sensor which detects the amt. of the developer to said device. CONSTITUTION:The developer sensor 14 which detects the amt. of the developer is provided to the developing device which is provided with a developing sleeve 5 having internally a magnet group, a toner replenishing roller 2 which is disposed near the sleeve 5 and supplies a toner to the developer magnetized and conveyed on the sleeve 5, and circulating and conveying means 8, 9 which circulate and convey the developer on the sleeve 5 in an axial direction. The deficiency of the developer is thereby surely detected when the developer is deficient. The execution of, for example, a replenishing operation, fault display operation of deficiency, etc., is thus enabled and the generation of the abnormal image is prevented.
