Abstract

Abstract A halogen lamp exhibiting a good regenerative halogen cycle is sealed with an inert or nitrogen gas, chlorine and fluorine, preferably, in the form of a hydrocarbon halide. Quantities of chlorine and fluorine are respectively from 0.05 X 10 6 to 1.00 X 10 6 gram atoms of chlorine and from 0.05 X 10 6 to 1.50 X 10 6 gram atoms of fluorine per cubic centimeter of the inner volume of the lamp.
