THE SAID EPIPODOPHYLLOTOXIN DERIVATIVES ARE USEFUL BECAUSE THEY POSSESS CYTOSTAIC ACTIVITY. A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION 4''-DEMETHYL-EPIPODOPHYLLOTOXIN IS DESCRIBED TOETHER WITH PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING USEFUL EPIPODOPHYLLOTOXIN DERIVATIVES FROM 4''-DEMETHYL-EPIPODOPHYLLOTOXIN.
