Abstract

Abstract A fluid vortex spinning process for yarn in which a dispersion of high-modulus refractory fibers and lower modulus fibers in a viscous carrier liquid as a flowing stream is rotated about its axis to produce a composite staple fiber yarn of axially aligned high-modulus refractory fibers intermixed with and intertwined by lower modulus fibers and the composite yarns so produced.
